Discover how to use Knowledge Checks and explore all the available features. To create Knowledge Checks, you’ll need Account Admin, Team Admin, or Expert-level access.

How to Create a Knowledge Check
1.) Log in to the Spekit Web App to get started.
2.) Click the New button and select Knowledge Checks from the dropdown menu.
3.) Enter a title for your Knowledge Check.
NOTE: This title will be visible to Viewers.
4.) Decide whether to add an intro page to your Knowledge Check. The intro page provides an overview and allows you to include an optional learning resource for the Viewer to review before starting the assessment.
5.) Create Knowledge Check question(s). Add up to 4 questions for each Knowledge Check.

Single Select:
- Include up to 4 answer options.
- Only 1 answer can be correct.
- Users will select a single response.

Multiple Select:
- Include up to 4 answer options, with at least 1 correct answer.
- Users can select multiple responses.
- To answer correctly, users must select all correct answers and avoid incorrect options.

How to Adjust Knowledge Check Settings
1.) Open the Knowledge Check and click the Settings button.
2.) Choose the target audience by selecting from the available teams. You can select multiple teams if needed.
3.) Define the Passing Score. Select the number of correct answers required for the Viewer to pass the Knowledge Check.
4.) After completing the Knowledge Check, Viewers will be directed to a score page. You can add a link to extra resources, such as a Spek or a URL, for further learning.
The resource link will appear on the View Learning Resource button at the bottom of the Review Your Answers page.
5.) Decide if users can retake the Knowledge Check.
- If enabled, users can retake it unlimited times.
- Analytics will show the results of their latest attempt and the total number of attempts made. Click here to learn more about Knowledge Check analytics.
NOTE: This option is not enabled by default and cannot be changed after the Knowledge Check is published.
6.) Choose how to notify Viewers about the Knowledge Check via email, in-app notification, and/or Spotlight.

7.) Once all settings are configured, click Publish to launch the Knowledge Check or Save Draft to work on it later.
How to Send Reminders for a Knowledge Check
You can send reminder emails to individuals who are enrolled but haven’t yet completed the Knowledge Check.
1.) Log in to the Spekit Web App.
2.) Click on the Wiki tab.
3.) Select the Knowledge Checks tab.
4.) Find and select the Knowledge Check you want to manage.
5.) Click on the Analytics tab for the selected Knowledge Check.
6.) In the % Users Completed box, click the email icon.
7.) Click Send Reminder to notify those who haven’t completed the Knowledge Check.
How to Create a Spotlight for a Knowledge Check
Admins and Experts can effortlessly create a Spotlight directly from the Knowledge Check settings page.
1.) Open the Knowledge Check Settings and click Create and Send Spotlight.
2.) Once the Spotlight setup is complete, click Publish.
3.) Next, a Create Spotlight modal will appear. Here are instructions on how to create a Spotlight.
NOTE: Only users assigned to the audience of the Knowledge Check will be able to access it via the Spotlight links. Ensure the correct teams are included in the Knowledge Check audience for seamless access.
How to Link Knowledge Checks to a Spek
Embedding Knowledge Checks into Speks is an excellent way to ensure your team fully absorbs the content.
Example: If you’re launching a new opportunity process in Salesforce and want to ensure your tenured reps understand the updates, you can embed a Knowledge Check in the final Spek to reinforce their understanding.
1.) Log in to your Spekit Web App.
2.) Click on the Wiki tab.
3.) Select the Knowledge Checks tab.
4.) Locate the desired Knowledge Check and click the three dots next to its title to open a dropdown menu.
5.) Select Share from the dropdown.
6.) Click Copy Link to copy the Knowledge Check URL.
7.) Go back to the Spek where you want to include the Knowledge Check. Use the hyperlink text option to add the copied URL. Click here for detailed instructions on creating a Spek.
NOTE: Only users assigned to a team included in the Knowledge Check audience will be able to access the Knowledge Check via these links. Ensure your audience settings are configured correctly.
What does the Viewer experience look like?
Viewers take Knowledge Checks through the Spekit Chrome Extension, located in the panel on the right side of the screen. To complete a Knowledge Check, users must have the Chrome Extension installed.
Passing a Knowledge Check

If the Viewer passes, they’ll see a confirmation message indicating success.

They’ll also be able to review all the questions along with the correct answers.
Not Passing the Knowledge Check
1.) If retakes are not enabled for the Knowledge Check, they will see a note indicating that they did not pass, but they will be able to review all of the questions and correct answers.
2.) If retakes are enabled for the Knowledge Check, they will see a note indicating that they did not pass and that they should try again!
In this case, they will be able to review the status of their answers (which questions were marked correct or incorrect), but they will not be shown the correct answers for all questions.
