What does nesting a Spek mean?
You build content once and embed it live inside another Spek, instead of copying and pasting it in.
How is nesting different from linking?
A link takes the viewer to another Spek. A nested Spek shows that content inline, with no click required.
Can I edit nested content from where it appears?
No. Nested content is read-only. AI Content Builder cannot edit a nested Spek either. To make changes, edit the source Spek. This gives you one single source of truth.
What if a viewer does not have permission to see the nested content?
They see a "content unavailable" message instead of a broken or blank section.
Is there a limit to how deep I can nest?
Yes. At this time, you can nest up to 3 levels.
Will my existing # links still work?
Yes. Spekit will migrate existing links shortly after launch, so titles stay current and hover previews just start working.
