A Deal Room is a personalized, branded page where you share content with a buyer and track how they engage with it. It gives your buyer one organized place to find everything they need, and it gives you a clear view of what they open and how long they spend on it. This guide explains what Deal Rooms do and points you to the right guide for each task.
ℹ️ Deal Rooms work in the Spekit web app and in AI Sidekick, the Chrome extension. New to Deal Rooms? Read this page first, then follow the links to each task.
1. What you can do with a Deal Room
A Deal Room brings your whole deal into one place. Here is what it lets you do.
| You can | What it means |
|---|---|
| Brand the room for your buyer | Add the buyer's logo and colors so the room feels made for them. |
| Add content fast | Pull in Speks, files, videos, call recordings, and booking links. You can also create new content with AI. |
| Organize with sections | Group content into sections like Overview, Security, or Mutual Action Plan. |
| Invite collaborators | Add teammates so they can help build the room and see how it is performing. |
| Share and track | Send the room to your buyer and see who views it and for how long. |
| Act on your calls | See call recaps next to the room, and add content the call suggests you need. |
💡 Pro Tip: A Deal Room is not just a folder of files. It is a live page that shows you buyer interest, so you know where to focus.
2. Where to find Deal Rooms
You can reach Deal Rooms in two places.
| Place | How to get there |
|---|---|
| Spekit Hub (Web App) | Click the Deal Rooms tab in the top navigation. |
| Sidekick (Chrome Extension) | Open the extension. Deal Rooms is a main tab at the top. |
💡 Pro Tip: You can start a new room from almost anywhere using the + Deal Room button in the top right.
3. The Deal Rooms landing page
When you open Deal Rooms, you land on your Deal Rooms home.
In the Spekit Hub (Web App)
| Area | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Views this week | How many times your rooms were opened this week. |
| Pipeline shared | The total value of the opportunities your active rooms are tied to. |
| Active rooms | How many rooms you have in play. |
| My Deal Rooms | Rooms you own, with a count. |
| Shared with me | Rooms other people added you to, with a count. |
| Archived | Rooms you archived, with a count. You can restore any of them. |
| Search | Find a room by name, account, or opportunity. |
| Take tour | A guided walkthrough of Deal Rooms. |
| + New Deal Room | Starts a new room. |
In the Sidekick (Chrome Extension)
The same three tabs with their counts, search, sort, a Tour button, and + Deal Room. Each row shows the buyer's logo, the room title, the deal amount, and the linked opportunity. The metric cards are not shown here.
Start from a template
You do not have to start with an empty room. The landing page offers a sample template that shows you what a finished room looks like.
| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| Preview | Opens the template so you can look through it before you commit. |
| Use template | Creates a new room from it. |
The template comes with sections already built, like Executive Summary, Mutual Action Plan, and a security and compliance section, with bracketed placeholder text throughout. Add a call transcript or other context, then use the AI Content Builder to personalize the bracketed parts for your deal.
💡 Pro Tip: If you have never built a Deal Room, preview the template first. It is faster to see a good room and change it than to guess at what belongs in one.
4. Inside a Deal Room
When you open a room you see the deal at the top, how the room is performing underneath, and your working tabs below that. The two surfaces show this differently.

Turn on the new Deal Room builder
Spekit has a new Deal Room builder with more flexible sections, content, and layout. The new builder is off by default. You turn it on yourself, and you can switch back at any time.
- Open a Deal Room.
- Find the New builder experience toggle near the Preview and Branding buttons, or click Turn it on in the "Switch to the new Deal Room builder" banner.
- The room reloads in the new builder.
ℹ️ The guides in this category describe the new builder. If your screen looks different, check that the new builder is turned on.
💡 Pro Tip: You can revert to the old builder any time using the same toggle, so it is safe to try.
