How to Create or Share a Deal Room in Outlook

Spekit's Outlook plugin brings full Deal Room functionality directly into your inbox on Outlook Desktop (you can use the extension on Outlook iny our browser) — you can create a Deal Room, add content to it, and share the link with a buyer without ever switching to the Web App or Chrome Extension.

Prerequisite: the Spekit Outlook plugin needs to be installed and connected to your account. If you don't see the Spekit panel in Outlook, check with your Spekit admin.

1. Create a Deal Room in Outlook

1. Open the Spekit panel in Outlook (available in both Outlook Web and Outlook Desktop).
2. Go to My Hub, then select Deal Rooms — this shows your Deal Room list view without leaving Outlook.
3. Click + New and select Create a Deal Room.
4. Choose or add the company the Deal Room is for, same as you would in the Web App — search for a matching Salesforce Opportunity, or enter the company name directly.
5. Set your branding, access controls, and notification preferences.
6. Click Create Deal Room. It's now created in Spekit and accessible from Outlook going forward.

Since you're already in your inbox, this is especially useful right after a call or an email exchange — you can stand up the Deal Room while the context is still fresh, without breaking your flow to open another tab.

2. Add content to a Deal Room in Outlook

1. From the Spekit panel, open the Deal Room you want to update.
2. Click + Content.
3. Choose how to add it: browse your Content Library, Create Content with the AI Content Builder, Sync from Google Drive or SharePoint, or Upload a file directly — the same options available in the Web App and Chrome Extension.
4. Review your selections, then confirm to add them to the Deal Room.

A related shortcut: while reading or drafting an email, Spekit's AI-powered content recommendations surface relevant assets based on what you're writing — from there, you can add a suggested piece straight into a Deal Room instead of manually searching for it.

3. Share a Deal Room in Outlook

1. From the Spekit panel, open the Deal Room you want to share.
2. Click Share (or the Share Link icon) to generate the external link.
3. The link copies to your clipboard, branded thumbnail included — paste it directly into the email you're writing.

Because this lives inside Outlook, you can create the Deal Room, add content, and paste the share link into your email in one continuous flow — no tab-switching, and no exporting or re-uploading files from somewhere else.
