Present Mode turns a piece of Spekit content into a polished, branded slide deck, with no exporting to PowerPoint and no rebuilding from scratch. You build your content once as a Spek, and Present Mode turns it into something you can present live. This guide covers how to build content meant to become slides, and how to present it.

What Present Mode does
Present Mode turns any structured Spek into a professional, interactive slide deck. Instead of writing content once for Spekit and rebuilding it as a deck, you build it once as a Spek, and Present Mode handles turning it into something you can present, branded to match your company's look.
This is especially useful for content you know you will present out loud: an executive summary for a stakeholder review, a mutual action plan walkthrough, or a QBR. Build it as a Spek, and it is ready to present the moment you need it.
ℹ️ Spekit also has a newer Slides option in the content editor, shown as a Doc or Slides toggle. Slides is a new feature. Use whichever fits your need, and check the editor for the latest option.
Step 1: Build sections that read like slides
Present Mode reads each section of your Spek as a slide. So the way you structure and prompt each section matters.
Keep each section focused on one idea. A Spek with five long sections becomes five dense slides. A Spek with twelve short, focused sections becomes twelve scannable ones.
When you prompt the AI Content Builder, describe each section as a slide, not a paragraph.

💡 Pro Tip: Name the layout you want, like cards, columns, or a big number with a caption. The AI responds better to concrete structure than to "make it look nice."
💡 Pro Tip: If a draft comes back too dense, say so directly: "Cut this to one sentence per bullet, no more than 4 bullets. This needs to work as a single slide."
Step 2: Present and navigate
- Open the Spek you want to present.
- Click into Present Mode.
- Move through the deck with the arrow keys. Left and right move between slides.
- Press Esc to exit and return to the editing view.
Because you are presenting the live Spek, not an exported file, any edit you make afterward updates the same content the next time you present. You never maintain two versions.

Examples
A stakeholder review. You build an executive summary as a Spek with short, focused sections. When the review comes, you click into Present Mode and walk the stakeholder through it as slides, no separate deck to build.
A mutual action plan walkthrough. Your MAP is already a structured Spek. On the call, you present it live in Present Mode, and when the buyer asks for a change, you edit the Spek once and it is updated everywhere.
