[Rep Guide] Save your own content as a personal template

Built a piece of Deal Room content you want to reuse on future deals? Save it as a personal template so it shows up under Created by you every time you start a new Spek. This guide shows you how to turn any Spek into a reusable template.

ℹ️ All users can create personal templates. To use a template when building content, see Create content from a template.

Step 1: Save a Spek as a template

  1. Find the Spek you want to reuse, or create a new one.
  2. Click Edit.
  3. Scroll to the Type field.
  4. Change the type from Content to Template.
  5. Add Template instructions describing what the template is for and how you use it. This helps the AI and future you understand the intent.
  6. Leave Allow external sharing off if this is just for your own use, or turn it on if you want it shareable in Deal Rooms.
  7. Save your changes.

💡 Pro Tip: Write clear template instructions, like "Executive summary for late-stage enterprise deals, helps frame business impact before a final review." Good instructions make the AI's drafts better.

Step 2: Find it afterward

Your personal template appears in the template picker under the Created by you filter, in both the Internal and Deal Room tabs depending on how you tagged it. It is ready to select the next time you start a new Spek.

ℹ️ Personal templates stay private to you unless a Team Admin promotes them into the shared Team gallery, or you turn on Allow external sharing to make them shareable in Deal Rooms.

Best practices

Best practice Why it helps
Save your best work as a template Your next similar deal starts from proven content, not a blank page.
Write clear template instructions The AI drafts better, and you remember what the template is for.
Keep personal templates for your own style Use them for the pieces you build often and want consistent.

💡 Pro Tip: If a template is good enough for the whole team, ask a Team Admin to promote it into the shared Team gallery so everyone benefits.

Examples

  • Your go-to executive summary. You build an executive summary you love. You edit it, switch the Type to Template, add instructions, and save. Now it shows under Created by you, ready for the next enterprise deal.

  • A repeatable security page. You often send the same security and IT overview. You save it as a personal template with external sharing on, so you can drop it into any Deal Room in seconds.
