Brand Studio Issues
If your Brand Studio settings aren't behaving as expected, start here:
My Brand Studio settings aren't applying to new Speks.
β Resolution: Ensure your settings were saved correctly in Brand Studio. Navigate back to Settings β Brand Studio and confirm your configurations are in place. If settings appear correct, try refreshing your browser.
Brand Studio updates aren't propagating to existing content.
β Resolution: Global updates can take a few moments to propagate across all assets. Refresh your browser and check again. If the issue persists, contact support.
My colors are failing the accessibility check.
β Resolution: Your selected color combination doesn't meet WCAG AA contrast standards (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text 18px+ bold). Try adjusting your Main, Primary Text, or Secondary Text colors until the checker confirms they pass. If you need help finding accessible alternatives, use a free contrast checker tool with your brand's HEX codes.
I can't access Brand Studio settings.
β Resolution: Brand Studio configuration is restricted to Account Admins. If you need changes made, contact your Account Admin. If you are an Account Admin and still can't access it, verify your role in Settings β Users or contact support.
Present Mode isn't available for my Spek.
β Resolution: Present Mode is only available for Speks that are marked as externally shareable. Open the Spek, click Edit, and ensure the external sharing toggle is enabled.
Template Issues
If you're having trouble finding or using templates, check the following:
I can't find a template I created.
β Resolution: Use the Created by you filter in the template picker to quickly surface templates you've saved. If it's still not visible, verify the Spek's Type field is set to Template in the editor.
A team template isn't showing up for my users.
β Resolution: Confirm the template has been published and that the Type field is set to Template. Unpublished content will not appear in the template picker for other users.
Spekit's pre-built templates aren't showing up in my template picker.
β Resolution: Spekit-provided templates are only accessible through the template picker and are not listed in your content library. If they are not appearing, contact your CSM or support to confirm they are enabled for your organization.
A template I'm looking for isn't in the Deal Room tab.
β Resolution: Only templates marked as externally shareable appear in the Deal Room template tab. If a template is internal only, it will not appear there by design.
My template instructions aren't influencing the AI output.
β Resolution: Make sure your template instructions are specific about the use case, audience, and goal. Vague instructions produce inconsistent results. Try rewriting them with more context and test again.
AI Content Creation Issues
If the AI Content Builder isn't producing the results you expect, review these points:
The AI Content Builder output doesn't reflect my attached source material.
β Resolution: Confirm your source material was successfully attached before prompting. If you attached a file, ensure it is in a supported format. Try re-attaching the file and re-running your prompt.
My prompt isn't generating the layout I want.
β Resolution: Be specific about structure in your prompt. Instead of "make it look nice," describe the layout you want β for example, "a card grid with four sections and a clear header." Vague prompts produce generic output.
The AI is changing sections I didn't want it to touch.
β Resolution: Explicitly tell the Builder what should stay the same in your prompt. For example, "Rewrite the intro section only β keep everything else exactly as it is." Without that instruction, the AI interprets a broad prompt as permission to edit everything.
The /google slash command isn't returning results.
β Resolution: Ensure you are using the correct format: /google + your search query + your prompt. If the issue persists, try a more specific search query or refresh your browser and try again.
The AI Content Builder is slow or unresponsive.
β Resolution: Refresh your browser and try again. If the issue persists, check your internet connection or contact support.
