Editing, Cloning and Archiving Deal Rooms

Learn how to edit, organize, and optimize your existing Deal Rooms. This includes updating content, managing collaborators, customizing layouts, tracking engagement, and archiving or restoring Deal Rooms as needed.

1. How to edit the name of a Deal Room

Renaming a Deal Room helps keep your workspace organized and ensures each Deal Room clearly reflects the deal, account, or purpose it supports.

 

Spekit Web App

  1. Open the Spekit Web App. 
  2. Click My Hub, then select Deal Rooms
  3. Open the Deal Room you want to rename. 
  4. Click the gear icon ⚙️ next to the current Deal Room name. 
  5. Enter the new name and click Save to apply your changes.

Sidekick (Chrome Extension)

  1. Open the Spekit Chrome Extension. 
  2. Click My Hub, then select Deal Rooms
  3. Open the Deal Room you want to rename. 
  4. Click the gear icon ⚙️ next to the current Deal Room name. 
  5. Enter the new name and click Save to apply your changes.

 

2. How to update the branding on an existing Deal Room

Updating the branding of a Deal Room helps you create a personalized, professional experience that reflects your customer’s company and builds stronger engagement with buyers.

 

Spekit Web App

  1. Open the Spekit Web App. 
  2. Click My Hub, then select Deal Rooms
  3. Open the Deal Room you want to update. 
  4. Click the gear icon ⚙️ to open Deal Room Settings
  5. Select the Branding tab to customize the Deal Room’s appearance.
    • Start by typing the company’s name and selecting it from the list.
    • Choose the company’s logo and brand color.
    • Alternatively, you can manually upload a logo and set a custom color.
  6. Click Save Changes to apply your updates.

  3. Open the Deal Room you want to update.

3. How to clone a Deal Room

Cloning a Deal Room allows you to quickly duplicate an existing room and reuse its structure, content, and settings for a new deal—saving time while keeping consistency across accounts.

 

Spekit Web App

  1. Open the Spekit Web App. 
  2. Click My Hub, then select Deal Rooms
  3. Open the Deal Room you want to clone. 
  4. Click Clone Deal Room
  5. In the Clone Deal Room pop-up, customize the details:
    • Choose or Add a Company: Search for and select the relevant Salesforce Opportunity, or enter the company name for internal tracking.
    • Rename the Deal Room (optional): Add a custom name. This will be visible to external recipients.
    • Engagement Tracking & Access: Decide whether to enable engagement tracking and whether to require an email address for access.
  6. Click the Branding tab to personalize the room’s appearance:
    • Search for the company to apply logo and brand colors, or manually upload assets.
  7. Click Clone Deal Room to finish.

4. How to archive a Deal Room

Archiving a Deal Room helps you keep your workspace organized by removing inactive or closed deals from your active view—without permanently deleting them. You can still access archived Deal Rooms anytime from the Archived tab.

 

Spekit Web App

  1. Open the Spekit Web App. 
  2. Click My Hub, then select Deal Rooms
  3. Open the Deal Room you want to archive.
  4. Click Archive.
  5. In the confirmation pop-up, click Yes, Archive.

A notification will appear confirming the Deal Room has been archived. You can find it anytime in the Archived tab.

Sidekick (Chrome Extension)

  1. Open the Spekit Chrome Extension. 
  2. Click My Hub, then select Deal Rooms
  3. Open the Deal Room you want to archive.
  4. Click the ellipsis (…) and select Archive.
  5. In the confirmation pop-up, click Yes, Archive.

A notification will appear confirming the Deal Room has been archived. You can find it anytime in the Archived tab.

 

5. How to restore an archived Deal Room

Restoring an archived Deal Room brings it back into your active workspace so you can continue collaborating, updating content, or reusing it for future deals. This action is only available in the Web App.

  1. Open the Spekit Web App. 
  2. Click My Hub, then select Deal Rooms
  3. Navigate to the Archived tab. 
  4. Find the Deal Room you want to restore. 
  5. Click Restore. In the confirmation pop-up, click Yes, Restore
  6. The Deal Room will reappear in the My Deal Rooms tab.
