User Hasn't Accepted Their Invite
What happens if a user hasn't accepted their Spekit invite?
If a user has been invited to Spekit but has not accepted their invite, they will not be able to log in. The behavior differs depending on how they were invited.
Spekit Username and Password Users
The user will need to check their email and accept the invitation before they can log in. If they attempt to log in without accepting the invite, they will see the following error message:
An invitation was sent to this email address or username, but it hasn’t been accepted yet. Please check your email to accept your invitation to join Spekit and try logging in again.
Single Sign-On and Salesforce Users
✅ No action needed. Users invited through Single Sign-On (SSO) or Salesforce do not need to accept their invite. When they log in, they are authenticated automatically and their status changes from Pending to Accepted in Spekit.
Deactivated User Trying to Log In
What happens if a deactivated user tries to log in?
A deactivated user will not be able to log in to Spekit. Instead, they will see the following error message:
This Spekit account has been deactivated.
User Without an Account
What happens if a user without an account tries to log in?
A user without an account will NOT be able to log in to Spekit. You will need to invite them to your Spekit organization before they can successfully log in. If they attempt to log in without being added to your Spekit organization, they will see the following error message:
This email address or username isn’t associated with a Spekit account. Please try again.
Multiple Usernames, One Email Address
What if a user has multiple usernames tied to one email address?
Direct the user to log into Spekit with their email address. From there, they can either:
- Try logging in with a known username, or
- Click Forgot username? — Spekit will email them all usernames associated with their account.
Multiple Usernames Across Multiple Orgs
What if a user has multiple usernames with one email address across multiple orgs?
Direct the user to the main production organization. If the user does not have an account in the main production organization, direct them to the organization where their email is registered. They will see the following error message:
This email address is associated with multiple usernames. Try logging in with a username or click ‘Forgot username? and we’ll email you the usernames associated with your Spekit account.

How do I retrieve my Spekit username?
If you've forgotten your username, follow these steps to have it sent to your email:
- Go to app.spekit.co.
- You'll be brought to the Spekit login page.
- Click the Forgot Username? link.
- Enter your email address in the field provided.
- You'll receive an email from no-reply@spekit.co containing your username.
Reset Your Spekit Password
How do I reset my Spekit password?
Follow these steps to reset your password:
- Go to app.spekit.co.
- You'll be brought to the Spekit login page.
- Enter your email address or username.
- A new field will appear — enter your password.
- Click the Forgot password? link.
- You'll be redirected to the password retrieval page.

Enter your Spekit username — not your email address.
⚠️ Important: You will only receive a password reset email if you provide your account's username. Since usernames are globally unique across all Spekit organizations, we recommend always using your username for password reset purposes.
