1. How to install and pin the Spekit Chrome Extension

Follow these steps to add the extension to your browser and pin it to your toolbar so your knowledge is always just one click away.

 

If you see the installation banner in the Spekit Web App:

  1. Click Install now from the banner. A new tab will open to the Spekit listing on the Google Chrome web store.
  2. Click Add to Chrome.
  3. Click Add Extension on the browser pop-up.

 

Make the extension permanently visible in your browser.

  1. Click the puzzle piece icon in the upper right corner of Google Chrome.
  2. Find "Spekit" in the dropdown list.
  3. Click the transparent pin icon to the right of Spekit.
  4. The pin will turn blue, and the purple Spekit logo will now be visible in your browser toolbar!
     

2. How to log in to Spekit

Depending on your organization's setup, there are four ways to log into your Spekit account: Single Sign-On (SSO), Salesforce, Salesforce Sandbox Account, or standard Spekit Account and Password.


NOTE: The login flow is exactly the same whether you are logging in from the Spekit Web App or the Spekit Chrome Extension.

 

☁️ Log in via Salesforce

  1. Click the Spekit icon in your browser toolbar to open the Chrome Extension.
  2. Click Login to Spekit. You will be routed to the login page.
  3. Click View all log in options.
  4. Click Login with Salesforce.
  5. Click your Salesforce Username or enter your Salesforce credentials.
  6. You will be successfully authenticated and routed to the Home page in the Spekit Web App.
     

✉️ Log in via Spekit Account/Username

  1. Click the Spekit icon in your browser toolbar to open the Chrome Extension.
  2. Click Login to Spekit. You will be routed to the login page.
  3. Enter your Spekit username and password.
  4. Click the blue Login button.
  5. Enter the 6-digit security code sent to the email associated with your Spekit account.
  6. You will be routed to the Home page in the Spekit Web App.

 

3. How to add the Spekit shortcut to Google Chrome

Want to open Spekit even faster? You can add a custom keyboard shortcut to open the Spekit extension on demand from any active window.

  1. Open a new tab in your browser.
  2. Type chrome://extensions/shortcuts into the address bar and hit Enter.
  3. Locate Spekit in the list of extensions.
  4. Click the field and type your desired keybind (e.g., Cmd + Shift + S or Ctrl + Shift + S) to activate it!
