[Admin & Rep Guide] Mapping Deal Rooms to Slack Channels

Spekit Deal Rooms allow sales reps and account teams to receive real-time updates and buyer engagement alerts directly inside dedicated deal channels. Reps and channel owners have full permission to invite the Spekit bot and map Deal Rooms themselves.

ℹ️ Note Post-Migration: If your workspace recently upgraded or reconnected Spekit, previous channel mappings were cleared and must be mapped again.

Step-by-Step Channel & Deal Room Setup

1. Open the Slack channel where you manage your deal (public or private).

2. Invite the Spekit bot to the channel:

   /invite @spekit

   (NOTE: Spekit must be present in the channel, especially in private channels, to post alerts.)

3. Link your Deal Room using either method:

   • Direct Command: Type /spekit link [dealroom name] and press Enter.

   • Modal Selection: Type /spekit dealroom and press Enter to open the interactive selection window.

Managing Channel Mappings

• Check Active Subscriptions: To see which Deal Rooms are currently mapped to a channel, type /spekit dealroom list.

• Clearing Mappings: Type /spekit dealroom list, select the Deal Room(s) you want to remove, and click Save. This unlinks the Deal Room from the channel and stops notifications.
