[Rep Guide] How to Connect Spekit to Slack for the First Time

Connecting Spekit to Slack allows you to access company knowledge and ask AI questions without leaving your chat workspace. Setup takes less than a minute and only needs to be completed once.

⚠️ Visual Note During Setup: During authorization, you may see older Spekit branding or legacy app directory details. This is expected. Proceed with authorization—your account will connect to the latest version and all new AI Sidekick features will work fully.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Open any Slack channel or Direct Message (DM).

2. Type /spekit connect and press Enter.

3. In the private message sent by the Spekit bot, click Connect my Spekit account.

4. Log in with your standard Spekit credentials when prompted.

5. Click Allow to grant Slack authorization.

6. Return to Slack. A confirmation message will appear indicating your account is successfully linked and ready to use.
