Define your brand standards once and let Spekit do the rest. Brand Studio is Spekit's live governance engine — every Spek your team creates automatically reflects the colors, fonts, and layouts you configure here, keeping all content consistent and on brand without any extra effort from your creators.
Prerequisite: Brand Studio configuration is restricted to Account Admins. Ensure you are logged into the Spekit Web App before proceeding.
1. Why use Brand Studio?
Without a governance layer, content quality is inconsistent — reps build their own versions of things, off-brand content ends up in front of customers, and every new launch cycle means starting from scratch on formatting. Brand Studio solves this at the system level.
Global Brand Enforcement
Standards you define in Brand Studio apply automatically to every Spek your team creates — no manual formatting required from creators.
Instant Propagation
Update a color, font, or layout style once and it updates across every asset immediately. No hunting down old content.
Presentation-Ready by Default
Any Spek created with Brand Studio enabled can be instantly transformed into a professional, branded presentation deck using Present Mode.

4. Preset Styles
Not sure where to start? Brand Studio includes four preset styles you can apply as a starting point and customize from there:
- Modern Minimal — Clean, understated, and content-forward
- Warm & Friendly — Approachable tones with softer design elements
- Corporate Pro — Polished and professional for enterprise environments
- Dark Mode — High contrast with a dark color palette
5. Brand Studio Best Practices
Getting the most out of Brand Studio comes down to a few key habits. Follow these best practices to set your team up for consistency from day one.
- Start with a preset style — If you're setting up Brand Studio for the first time, pick the preset closest to your brand as a starting point and customize from there. It's faster than building from scratch and gives you a solid foundation.
- Configure Brand Studio before your team starts creating content — Any Speks created before Brand Studio is set up won't automatically inherit your standards. Get it configured first so everything your team builds from day one is on brand.
- Run the accessibility check before saving — Don't skip the built-in accessibility checker. If your color combinations don't meet WCAG AA standards, some users may struggle to read your content.
- Align with your marketing team first — Pull your exact HEX codes, approved fonts, and brand guidelines before sitting down to configure Brand Studio. Having everything ready upfront avoids going back and forth.
- Test your settings in Present Mode — After configuring Brand Studio, create a test Spek and flip it into Present Mode to see how your brand settings look in a live presentation context before rolling it out to your team.
- Treat your preset as a living standard — As your brand evolves, update Brand Studio first. Changes propagate automatically so your team's existing content stays current without any manual work.
6. Accessibility Standards
Brand Studio includes a built-in accessibility checker to help ensure your content is readable for all users. As you configure colors, Brand Studio will flag any combinations that don't meet the following WCAG AA standards:
- Normal text: Minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1
- Large text (18px+ bold): Minimum contrast ratio of 3:1
We recommend reviewing your color selections against these standards before publishing your Brand Studio configuration to your team.
