Once a Learning Path is created and published, you can continue to update, organize, and maintain it as your content or training needs evolve. This article walks through how to edit existing Learning Paths, add new content, archive outdated paths, and restore archived ones when needed.

1. How to edit a published Learning Path
Published Learning Paths can be updated at any time to reflect changes in training, content, or targeting. Use the settings menu to adjust key details like assignments, due dates, and where the Learning Path appears for users.
- Open the Spekit Web App.
- Open the Learning Path you want to edit.
- Click the gear icon to open Settings.

From here, you can update:
- Learning Path name and icon
- Assigned teams

Due date:
- No due date
- Within a timeframe of assignment (7, 14, 21, 30, 60, or 90 days)
- On a specific date

URL targeting, to control where the Learning Path appears in the Spekit sidebar:
- Domain (e.g., example.com)
- Subdomain (e.g., app.example.com)
- Specific path (e.g., example.com/page)
- When you're done making edits, click Save Changes.
2. How to add content to a published Learning Path
You can easily update a published Learning Path by adding new resources at any time. This helps keep training current and ensures learners always have access to the most relevant materials.
- Open the Spekit Web App.
- Open the Learning Path you want to update.

Click Add Content and choose how to add resources:
- Content Library: Browse existing Spekit content
- Create Content: Build new content using templates, embeds, or AI
- Upload Files: Add PDFs, presentations, documents, and more
- Knowledge Checks: Create from scratch, generate with AI, or select an existing quiz
- Click Add to Learning Path when finished.
- To reorder content, click and hold the drag handle next to an item, then move it to the desired position within the Learning Path.
3. How to archive a Learning Path
Archiving a Learning Path allows you to remove it from active use while preserving it for future reference. This is helpful for keeping your Learning Path library organized and up to date.
- Open the Spekit Web App.
- Open the Learning Path you want to archive.
- Click the Archive button.
- In the confirmation pop-up, click Yes, Archive.
- The Learning Path will now appear in the Archived tab.
4. How to restore an archived Learning Path
If a Learning Path was archived, you can easily restore it at any time to make it active again. Restoring brings it back so it can be edited, assigned, and reused as needed.
- Open the Spekit Web App.
- Click Team Hub, then select Learning Paths.
- Go to the Archived tab.
- Open the archived Learning Path you want to restore.
- Click Restore.
- In the confirmation pop-up, click Yes, Restore.
The Learning Path will now return as a Draft. Once you’re ready to make it active again, click Publish.
