1. How to create a Learning Path
Building a Learning Path is fast because you are curating existing knowledge rather than writing net-new courses.
Step 1: Setup & Targeting
- Open the Spekit Web App.
- Click the + New button.
- Select Create a Learning Path from the creation menu.
- Enter a clear, descriptive Name.
- Select an Icon from the Spekit library or upload your own custom icon.
-
Select the Teams that will be assigned this path.
- NOTE: Current targeting is at the Team level; granular user targeting is coming soon.
-
Set a due date:
- No due date
- Within a timeframe of assignment (7, 14, 21, 30, 60, or 90 days)
- On a specific date (select a date)
-
Add the URL where you want the Learning Path to appear. Choose your targeting level:
- Domain (e.g., example.com)
- Subdomain (e.g., app.example.com)
- Specific path (e.g., example.com/page)
- Click Create Learning Path when you're done.
Step 2: Add Content
Pull in the resources your team needs to master.
- Click + Add.
-
Choose how you want to add content:
- Content Library: Browse existing Spekit content
- Create Content: Build new content with templates, embeds, or AI
- Upload Files: Add PDFs, presentations, documents, and more
- Use the search bar to find content within Spekit. The system will surface all Topics and individual pieces of content matching your criteria. (Note: Confluence pages cannot be added at this time).
- Select the items you want (e.g., "CSM Week 1 Content" and "CSM Week 2 Content").
- Add them into your Learning Path.
Step 3: Add a Knowledge Check (quiz)
- Click + Add.
-
Choose how to add a Knowledge Check:
- Create from scratch: Write your own questions and answers
- Generate with AI: Let AI create questions for you
- Add existing: Select from published Knowledge Checks
- Enter a Title: Choose a name that is clear and descriptive (this is what viewers will see).
- Intro Page (Optional): Provide an overview for users to review before they start the quiz.
-
Build assessments that scale. You can now add up to 20 questions per check using two primary formats:
- Single Select: Up to four options, only one is correct. Ideal for simple true/false or definitive process steps.
- Multiple Select: Up to four options, at least one is correct. Users must select all correct choices to pass the question.
- Before you publish, define the minimum number of correct answers required to pass.
- Click Save to publish your Knowledge Check.
Step 4: Reorder Content
Adjust the flow to create a logical learning journey.
- Once content is added, you will see a preview of the end-user sequence on the left side.
- Simply drag and drop the content blocks to reorganize them into the exact order your learners should experience them.
Step 5: Publish
Deploy the Learning Path to your organization.
- Once your content is in the right spot, scroll to the top right of the page.
- Click Publish. A pop-up will appear where you can select the teams to assign the Learning Path to and choose how to notify them—via email or in-app notification. You’ll also have the option to include a message for assignees.
When you’re ready, click Publish & Notify.
Once published, assigned teams can access the Learning Path from their Assigned to Me page. You can update assigned teams anytime in Settings.
2. How to navigate Learning Paths
Once you create a Learning Path in the Spekit Web App, you’ll have access to a set of tools to help you manage, assign, and track progress.
3. How to send reminders for Learning Paths
Keep your team on track by sending reminders to complete assigned Learning Paths. You can quickly notify users with a custom message via email or in-app notifications.
- Open the Spekit Web App.
- Open the Learning Path you want to send reminders for.
- Click Notify Users.
-
Choose how to notify assigned teams (email or in-app notification) and add an optional message.
-

- “Reminder to complete this Learning Path by Friday—let me know if you have any questions!”
- “Please finish this training before our upcoming launch.”
- “Quick nudge to complete your assigned Learning Path when you have a moment.”
-
- Click Send Notifications.
4. How to share a Learning Path
Easily share a Learning Path with others by copying a secure link directly from the Spekit Web App. Only users who are assigned to the Learning Path will be able to access it.

- Open the Learning Path you want to share.
- Click the share (arrow) icon.
- In the pop-up, click Copy Link.
- A confirmation message will appear once the link has been copied to your clipboard.
