Learn how to share Speks and all the features available. All Spekit Admins and Experts have the ability to share Speks externally, but only SmartSend customers will have access to activity analytics. Please get in touch with your Customer Success Manager or support@spekit.co to discuss enabling SmartSend.
How to Enable External Sharing
1.) Open the Spekit Web App.
2.) Click Settings.
3.) Open the Admin Tools tab.
4.) Click Share Settings.
5.) Click the toggle next to Allow users to share content externally.
How to Share a Spek Externally
1.) Open the Spekit Web App.
2.) Search for the Spek, or navigate to the Topic where the Spek you would like to share externally is stored.
3.) Click on the Spek.
4.) Click on the share arrow and select Externally.
SMARTSEND CUSTOMERS ONLY:
a.) Add a public name for the Spek Share Link.
b.) Select the name of the Company you are sharing the Spek with (for internal tracking). To add a company name, just start typing!
c.) Decide if you would like to enable tracking on the Spek and if you'd like to require an email address to access the content.
5.) Click Create Share Link.
6.) Click Copy.
7.) The link is now in your clipboard. You can paste the link wherever you would like to share the Spek externally.
How to Preview a Spek Share Link
1.) Open the Spekit Web App.
2.) Search for the Spek, or navigate to the Topic where the Spek you would like to share externally is stored.
3.) Click on the Spek.
4.) Click on the share arrow and select Externally.
SMARTSEND CUSTOMERS ONLY:
a.) Add a public name for the Spek Share Link.
b.) Select the name of the Company you are sharing the Spek with (for internal tracking). To add a company name, just start typing!
c.) Decide if you would like to enable tracking on the Spek and if you'd like to require an email address to access the content.
5.) Click Create Share Link.
6.) Click Preview. A new tab will open with a preview of the File.
How to Remove External Spek Sharing Permissions
1.) Open the Spekit Web App.
2.) Open the File.
3.) Click Edit.
4.) Click the slider on Allow users to share externally.
5.) You will have the option to notify users about revoking external sharing access.
6.) Click Save Changes when you are done.
NOTE: Any share links that have already been generated will no longer work.
How to Bulk Enable Spek Sharing
1.) Open the Spekit Web App.
2.) Open the Topic you would like to bulk enable external Spek sharing.
3.) Click Select All.
4.) Click Enable External Sharing.
5.) A confirmation pop-up will appear, click Yes, Enable.
How to Bulk Disable Spek Sharing
1.) Open the Spekit Web App.
2.) Open the Topic you would like to bulk disable external Spek sharing.
3.) Click Select All.
4.) Click Disable External Sharing.
5.) A confirmation pop-up will appear, click Yes, Disable.
