1. What is nesting?
Nesting lets you embed a source Spek's live content inside another Spek. The nested content pulls straight from the source. Update the source once and every place it is nested shows the change right away. There are no copies to update.

Open a Spek.
Type the @ symbol.
Type a minimum of 3 characters for results to start appearing.
Select the Content (Spek, PDF, etc.) you would like to nest.

It's now easier than ever to link out to other Speks.
Open a Spekit Content (Spek, PDF, etc.).
Type the # symbol.

5. How to delete a link or a nested Spek
Open the Spek.
Click next to the linked or nested Content (Spek, PDF, etc.).
Backspace to delete it.
6. What happens if the name of the Content changes?
The link stays unbroken and still works. The displayed link title now updates on its own. If you rename a linked Spek, the displayed title updates everywhere it appears. You can also hover over a link to preview the Spek.
If you had links before this update, Spekit will migrate them shortly after launch. After that, titles stay current and hover previews start working.
7. Permissions and limits
Nested content follows the source Spek's permissions. For Deal Rooms and shared links, the source Spek must also be marked externally shareable.
If a viewer does not have permission to see the nested content, they see a "content unavailable" message instead of a blank or broken section.
You can nest up to 3 levels deep.
