How do I manage Spotlights?

Need to find or manage a Spotlight? Once you've created a Spotlight, you can preview, edit, clone, delete, search, filter, and sort it. You must have Account Admin, Team Space Admin, or Expert access to manage Spotlights.

1. How to Filter and Sort Spotlights

To filter:

1. Open the Spekit Web App.
2. Click Team Hub, and select Spotlight.
3. Use the filter options to narrow your results by:
   • Content: Find Spotlights linked to a specific Spek, Topic, or URL.
   • Published Timeframe: Filter by a specific date range.
   • Status: See Spotlights that are Published, a Draft, or Expired.
   • Creator: Find Spotlights made by a specific person.
   • Targeting: See Spotlights targeted to a specific team or URL.
4. Click Apply Filters.

To sort:

1. Open the Spekit Web App.
2. Click Wiki, then Spotlights.
3. Click to select your desired sort order.

2. How to Edit a Published Spotlight

Web App Instructions

1. Open the Spekit Web App.
2. Click Hub, and select Spotlight.
3. Find the Spotlight you want to edit.
4. Click the gray box ellipsis [...] at the right-hand side of the Spotlight.
5. Click Preview.
6. Click Edit.

Chrome Extension Instructions

1. Open the Sidekick (Spekit Chrome Extension).
2. Switch to Search.
3. Search for the Spotlight.
4. Select the Spotlights tab to filter by Spotlights.
5. Click on the Spotlight you would like to edit. The Spotlight module will pop up.
6. Click Edit.

3. How to Preview a Published Spotlight

Web App Instructions

1. Open the Spekit Web App.
2. Click Hub, and select Spotlight.
3. Find the Spotlight you want to preview.
4. Click the gray box ellipsis [...] at the right-hand side of the Spotlight.
5. Click Preview.

Chrome Extension Instructions

1. Open the Sidekick (Spekit Chrome Extension).
2. Switch to Search.
3. Search for the Spotlight.
4. Select the Spotlights tab to filter by Spotlights.
5. Click the gray box ellipsis [...] at the right-hand side of the Spotlight.
6. Click Preview.

4. How to Clone a Spotlight

1. Open the Spekit Web App or Spekit Chrome Extension and find the Spotlight.
2. Click the gray box ellipsis [...] at the right-hand side of the Spotlight.
3. Click Clone.
4. Rename the Spotlight and adjust settings as needed.
5. Click Publish.

5. How to Delete a Spotlight

1. Open the Spekit Web App or Spekit Chrome Extension and find the Spotlight.
2. Click the gray box ellipsis [...] at the right-hand side of the Spotlight.
3. Click Delete. A prompt will appear asking: "Are you sure? This will delete permanently."
4. Click Yes. You will receive a confirmation message.
