What is a Topic?
A Topic in Spekit acts as a "folder" to organize and group your Speks (content) for easy access and management. Speks can belong to multiple Topics, allowing for flexibility in structuring your content.
Examples of Topics:
- Onboarding: SDRs
- BDR: Objections
- CSM: QBR Processes
Topics not only organize your content but also ensure it’s accessible and actionable for your team at the right moment.
Topics Best Practices
Organizing your Spekit content into Topics ensures your team can easily find the resources they need, right when they need them. To maximize the value of Topics, follow these best practices to make them accessible, visually appealing, and relevant to your team’s workflows.
- Ensure Accessibility: Assign Topics to the appropriate team(s) to control who can access them.
- Make Them Visual: Add icons to Topics to improve recognition and sorting.
- Enhance Relevance with Topic Targeting: Relate Topics to specific web applications or URLs to ensure users can quickly find training, guidance, and answers in the context of their workflow.
- Provide Clear Descriptions: Use the Topic description to outline its focus, purpose, and relevance to help users understand its content at a glance.
