Master your browser-based hub to access just-in-time knowledge, AI insights, and creation tools without ever leaving your workflow.
1. Navigating the Chrome Extension Top Navigation (Admins & Experts)
As an Account Admin, Team Admin, or Expert when you open the extension, you’ll see the main navigation at the top:

Your launchpad to create and manage new resources.
- Speks: Bite-sized knowledge guides.
- Topics: Group related content together.
- Files: Direct uploads or synced folders.
- Spotlights: High-visibility in-app alerts.
- Knowledge Checks: Quizzes to test learning.
- Deal Rooms: Shared external workspaces.
- Learning Paths: Structured, step-by-step training sequences.
2. Recently Viewed
Click the clock icon to see the Speks, Files, and other content you've recently opened, so you can jump right back in without searching again.
3. Favorites
Click the star icon (★) to view all the Speks and Files you've saved for quick access.
4. Notifications
Stay informed about content changes and updates.
- Spek Updates: See who updated a Spek, when, and read the version history.
- Red Indicator: A red dot signals new activity (clears when opened).
- Note: Alerts remain unread until you click or interact with them
5. More Options (...)
Click the ellipsis [...] at the top-right of the Chrome Extension to access administrative tools, support, and account settings.
- 🌐 Open in Webapp: Launches the Spekit Web App in a new browser tab. 💡 PRO TIP: If you have a Spek open in the extension, it automatically opens that same Spek in the Web App.
- 📊 Analytics: Opens the Web App to provide insights into how your team engages with content (User activity, Spek views, Activation status, Search behavior). Data can be exported to CSV.
- ⚙️ Extension Settings: Customize the Spekit Dock's appearance and positioning on your screen to tailor it seamlessly to your workflow.
- ✨ New in Spekit: Opens the product Changelog so you can stay up-to-date with recent updates, improvements, and new feature releases.
- 💡 Request Feature: Directs you to our Canny board to submit ideas, vote on other users' suggestions, and influence the product roadmap.
- ⚠️ Report a Bug: Submit feedback or flag end-user challenges directly from the extension to streamline support resolution.
- 💬 Support: Opens the Spekit Help Center.
6. Sidekick & Search
Your search bar and AI Sidekick are now one unified input field. Use the toggle to switch between keyword search and AI chat.
Chat mode (AI Sidekick):
- Your personalized, AI-powered assistant that delivers instant answers, recommendations, and real-time guidance.
- Website-specific Topics: Automatically displays Topics related to the specific webpage you're on.
- Gong Call Insights: Dynamically surfaces Call Recaps, Key Points, and Next Steps for up to three recent external calls (with a direct link to the recording).
- AI Content Recommendations: Intelligent suggestions based on browsing activity to guide your next steps.
Search mode:
- Search your entire library directly from the sidebar, no matter which browser tab you're currently in.
- Enter a keyword, process name, or specific term.
- Filter results by content type (Speks, Files, Topics, Deal Rooms, Spotlights, Knowledge Checks, Seismic).
- Content Gap Tool: Toggle on "Only show empty Speks" to surface placeholder Speks that need documentation.
By default, AI Sidekick opens to chat mode. Use the toggle to switch to search anytime.
7. Topics
The central shared library for your entire organization. Explore existing content by searching for specific Topics or browsing through categorized materials. This empowers everyone to find the Speks, files, or training resources they need in one organized space.
8. My Hub
Your dropdown for quick access to tools tailored just for you.
- Deal Rooms: Manage existing rooms or create new ones to collaborate with external stakeholders.
- Trackable Links: Manage and share content via tracking links.
- Assigned: Access assigned Learning Paths and Knowledge Checks.
