The Spekit MCP Connector works with any AI tool that supports custom connectors by URL and dynamic registration, not only the tools with their own setup article. If your tool is not listed, follow the general pattern below with the same Spekit server URL.
ℹ️ The URL, the sign-in, and your Spekit permissions are the same in every tool. Only the screen where you paste the URL changes.
1. The server URL
https://mcp.spekit.co/mcp
You do not need a Client ID or Client secret. You authorize with a standard OAuth sign-in using your Spekit login.
2. The general setup pattern
- Open your AI tool's connector or integration settings. Look for Connectors, Custom connectors, MCP servers, or Integrations.
- Add a custom connector.
- Paste in the Spekit server URL. If the tool asks for a name, use Spekit.
- Sign in with your existing Spekit credentials to authorize.
A few things vary by tool:

| A developer setting must be on first | Turn it on in the tool's own settings before you add the connector. |
| The connector is admin managed | An admin adds it once, then each user signs in with their own Spekit login. |
| Setup uses a config file or command line | You add the server URL to a settings file instead of a settings screen. |
3. Codex CLI
Codex CLI is supported. It connects the same config-based way as Gemini CLI: you add the Spekit server URL to the tool's MCP server configuration, then complete the OAuth sign-in with your Spekit credentials.

4. What to expect once it is connected
Every tool gets the same set of Spekit tools, and every call runs as you.
