You do not have to send your buyer the whole room. Every section has its own share link, so you can send one stakeholder straight to the part of the deal that concerns them. This is useful when different people own different parts of an evaluation and you do not want each of them hunting through content meant for someone else.
ℹ️ A section link is a shortcut, not a restriction. It opens the room on that section, and the recipient can still browse everything else in the room.
1. Copy a section link
- Open the Deal Room and go to the Room builder tab.
- Find the section you want to share.
- Select the share icon on that section.
The link copies to your clipboard, ready to paste into an email or a message.
💡 Pro Tip: Name your sections for the person who will receive them, not for your internal process. "Security review" lands better than "Phase 2 materials."
2. What your recipient sees
| What | Behavior |
|---|---|
| Where the link opens | The room, on the section you shared |
| The rest of the room | Still available. They can scroll and explore everything else |
| Access controls | Unchanged. The same rules that govern the room link govern a section link |
| Your analytics | The visit counts the same as any other visit to the room |
Because access controls are shared with the room, a section link does not let you give someone narrower access. If you need a stakeholder to see less, that is a room-level decision.
3. When to send a section instead of the room
| Situation | Why a section link helps |
|---|---|
| Your champion is forwarding to one team | Security, legal or procurement get straight to their material without a tour of the whole deal |
| You are following up on one question | Send the answer, not the library |
| The room is large | A section link keeps a long room from feeling like homework |
| You are multi-threading | Different stakeholders get different entry points into the same room |
💡 Pro Tip: Pair the section link with one line of context in your email. "Here is the security section, your team's questions from Tuesday are covered in the second doc" does more than the link on its own.
