[Rep Guide] Sync SharePoint Content into Your Deal Room

Bring the exact SharePoint files and pages a deal needs straight into your Deal Room, and keep them current automatically. You do not need admin access. You can sync into any Deal Room you have access to, and what you sync there lives in that Deal Room.

ℹ️ Before you start: Your admin has turned on the SharePoint integration for your company, and you have connected your own SharePoint account. To connect your account, see Connect Your SharePoint Account.

1. How to sync into a Deal Room

  1. Open the Deal Room you want to add content to.
  2. Click the Add New button at the top, or click + Content near the sections on the left (the + icon, then Content).
  3. Click Sync Files. The Sync Files pop-up opens.
  4. Browse or search your connected SharePoint sites, and select the files or published pages you want.
  5. Confirm to sync them into the Deal Room.

2. What you can sync

You can sync PDF, PPTX, DOCX, and XLSX files, plus published SharePoint Pages. Only published pages appear in the picker, and only their major versions sync.

3. Best practices

Best practice Why it matters
Sync living content, not one-offs Sync decks, pricing, and docs that change over time, so the deal always has the current version. Upload one-off items like a signed order form instead.
Sync from a shared Team Site Pull from a shared SharePoint Site rather than a personal folder or OneDrive, so the content stays reliable even if the owner is out.
Set permissions so buyers can open it Confirm the content is shareable in SharePoint before you send it, so buyers do not hit an access wall.
Test external access before you send Open the Spekit link in an incognito window. If you can view it there, so can your buyer.
Force Sync before a big call Instead of waiting a few hours for the automatic refresh, use Force Sync on the file to push the latest version live right away.
