[Rep Guide] Connect Your SharePoint Account

To sync your own SharePoint files into a Deal Room, connect your SharePoint account to Spekit once. Your admin turns the SharePoint integration on for the company. You connect your own account so Spekit can pull the content you already have access to.

ℹ️ Before you start: An Admin must turn on the SharePoint integration for your company first, including the one-time Entra admin consent. If you do not see a way to connect, ask your admin whether the integration is on. See Connect SharePoint for the admin steps.

1. Why you connect your own account

Spekit only syncs content you can already open in SharePoint. Connecting your own account authorizes Spekit to pull that content. It does not give anyone else access to your files, and it does not change what your teammates can see.

You only connect once. After that, syncing works without asking again.

2. How to connect

You connect inside a Deal Room, from the Sync Files pop-up. There are two ways to open it.

  1. Open your Deal Room.
  2. Click the Add New button at the top, or click + Content near the sections on the left (the + icon, then Content).
  3. Click Sync Files. The Sync Files pop-up opens.
  4. Click Connect SharePoint.
  5. When prompted, sign in with your Microsoft account to securely connect SharePoint.
  6. Once connected, select the content to sync into your Deal Room.

ℹ️ NOTE: This is the same Sync Files pop-up admins use to connect. If your account is already connected, you go straight to selecting content.

3. What happens after you connect

What Detail
One-time step You connect once. Syncing works without asking again after that.
Automatic updates Spekit refreshes your synced content from SharePoint within a few hours. Use Force Sync on a file to push an update sooner.
Permission-aware You can only sync content you have permission to open in SharePoint.

4. How to disconnect

You disconnect from the same Sync Files pop-up.

  1. Open your Deal Room.
  2. Click the Add New button at the top, or click + Content on the left (the + icon, then Content).
  3. Click Sync Files to open the Sync Files pop-up.
  4. Click Disconnect.

Content you already synced stays in your Deal Room, but future changes will stop syncing.
