When a prospect interacts with a mapped Spekit Deal Room, Spekit posts a "New buyer activity in your Deal Room" card directly to your Slack channel so you can take immediate action while buyer interest is high.
What the Notification Displays
Each alert card includes:
Prospect Email: Identifies who visited and indicates if it is their first time viewing the room.
Deal Room Name: The target room visited.
Time in Room: Total duration of the visit (e.g., 4m 12s).
Items Viewed & Asset Breakdown: Total count of items viewed and exact time spent on each individual asset (e.g., Pricing Deck: 2m 10s).
Salesforce Status: Shows whether the contact exists in Salesforce.
One-Click Action Buttons:
Open Deal Room: Opens the deal room directly in Spekit.
Send Email: Launches your email client to reply to the prospect instantly without leaving Slack.
Notification Event Types & Smart Batching
Views: Fires when a prospect opens the deal room URL.
Opens: Fires when a prospect opens a specific document or video inside the room.
💡 Smart Batching: To keep Slack channels quiet and prevent clutter during active buyer reviews, multiple activities performed by the same person within a 1-hour window are automatically grouped into a single consolidated card.
Edge Cases & Troubleshooting
| Scenario | What Happens | Action Required |
| Bot not invited | The notification fails on Slack's end and the setup modal won't open. | Run /invite @spekit in the main channel composer, then try mapping again. |
| Account not connected | You cannot map a deal room. | Run /spekit connect first to authenticate your user account. |
| Deal room deleted | Notifications simply stop. | No action needed. The Slack channel is untouched and no error posts. |
| No mapped channel | Engagement triggers standard email and in-app notifications. | No action needed unless you want Slack alerts enabled. |
