[Rep & Admin Guide] Managing Deal Room Slack Settings in the Spekit Hub

How to Access Slack Settings in the Web App

You can access your Deal Room's Slack settings in two ways:

Method A: From the Header Button

  1. Open your specific Deal Room in the Spekit Hub (Web App).

  2. In the top right header menu, click:

    • Slack Connect (if no Slack channels are linked yet)

    • Slack [count] (e.g., Slack 2, showing how many channels are actively linked)

Method B: From Deal Room Settings

  1. Open your specific Deal Room in the Spekit Hub (Web App).

  2. Click the Gear icon (Settings) in the top header.

  3. Select the Slack tab.

Understanding the Spekit Hub (Web App) Slack Settings Modal

1. Unlinked State ("No channel linked yet")

When no channels are connected to the Deal Room, you will see:

  • Quick Setup Commands: A banner reminding you to run /invite @spekit then /spekit dealroom in Slack.

  • Setup Guide Link: A direct Setup guide ↗ link in the top right to open Help Center documentation.

  • Notification Preview ("What you'll get"): An interactive card showing what the "New buyer activity in your Deal Room" alert looks like in Slack.

2. Connected State ("Connected Slack channels")

Once channels are linked via Slack, the modal displays:

  • Connected Channel List: A list showing all mapped public and private Slack channels (e.g., #slack-spekit-help-center).

  • Master Notification Toggle: A global Enable notifications toggle switch.

    • Switching this toggle off pauses all Slack engagement notifications for this Deal Room across all linked channels without removing the channel connections.

💡 Key Takeaway for Reps

To add or remove specific Slack channels, use /spekit dealroom directly inside Slack. Use the Spekit Hub (Web App) when you want to quickly check which channels are linked or globally pause notifications.
