To sync Confluence content, you’ll need Account Admin, Team Admin, or Expert-level access in Spekit.
What is Content Syncing from Confluence?
Confluence Content Syncing connects your Confluence workspace to Spekit, making it easy to manage, update, and share documentation with your team. Only those with Account Admin, Team Admin, or Expert-level access in Spekit can set up and manage this integration. The result: everyone always has access to the most up-to-date training materials, guides, and reference documents—right where they need them.

Who Can Use This Feature?
To connect Confluence to Spekit, you must be a:
- Spekit Account Admin
- Team Admin
- Expert-level user
NOTE: Each user must connect their own Confluence account. Only explicitly selected pages/spaces will be synced.
How to Set Up Content Syncing from Confluence
There are two ways you can set up content syncing from Confluence:
Option 1: Using the New Button
For Experts, Team Admins, and Account Admins:
1.) Open the Spekit Web App.
2.) Click the Team Hub button, and click + Add New.
3.) Select File Sync.
4.) Click Connect Confluence.
5.) A pop-up will appear prompting you to connect your Confluence account and Spekit using your Confluence domain URL (example: https://spekit.atlassian.net) and login credentials.
6.) After setting up the connection, you'll be able to select specific Confluence pages to sync into Spekit
Option 2: Using the Settings Page
For Account Admins Only:
1.) Open the Spekit Web App.
2.) Click Settings (the gear icon).
3.) Click Connect.
4.) Click Connect Confluence.
5.) A pop-up will appear prompting you to connect your Confluence account and Spekit using your Confluence domain URL (example: https://spekit.atlassian.net) and login credentials.
6.) After setting up the connection, you'll be able to select specific Confluence pages or spaces to sync into Spekit.
NOTE: Each user must connect their own Confluence account to sync content.
How to Sync Pages from Confluence
After connecting your Confluence account:
1.) Open the Spekit Web App or Spekit Chrome Extension.
2.) Click the Team Hub button, and click + Add New.
3.) Click File Sync.
4.) Browse your Confluence workspace or use the search bar to find the pages you want to sync. Select all the pages you’d like to sync into Spekit.
5.) Click Next once you've finalized your selections.
6.) Assign the selected content to the relevant Spekit Topic(s) for easy organization and discovery.
7.) Click Sync to complete the process.
How Synced Content Appears in Spekit
Here’s what happens in Spekit once your Confluence integration is set up. This section outlines how imported pages are presented, how users can interact with them, and how permissions are managed—giving you clarity on exactly what information is synced and how it’s accessed from within Spekit.

How to Test Your Integration
To confirm everything is working:
- Search for a recently synced Confluence page in Spekit.
- Use AI Sidekick to reference a synced page title.
- Click the page title to confirm it routes correctly to Confluence.
How to Disconnect from Confluence
There are two ways you can disconnect from Confluence
Option 1: Using the File Sync Modal
For Experts, Team Admins, and Account Admins:
1.) Open the Spekit Web App.
2.) Click the Team Hub button, and click + Add New.
3.) Select File Sync.
4.) Click Disconnect.
5.) A confirmation pop-up will appear, click Yes, disconnect.
Option 2: Using the Settings Page
For Account Admins Only:
1.) Open the Spekit Web App.
2.) Click Settings (the gear icon).
3.) Click Connect.
4.) Click Disconnect.
