Install and Set Up the Spekit Chrome Extension

Welcome to Spekit. This article gets you from zero to fully set up — installing the extension, pinning it, and logging in for the first time.

1. What is the Spekit Chrome Extension?

The Spekit Chrome Extension brings your company's knowledge, training, and AI assistant directly into the tools you already use — Salesforce, Gmail, Outreach, Gong, and more — so you never have to switch tabs to find an answer or the right piece of content.

A few things it does out of the box:

• Shows relevant knowledge in context — Speks (bite-sized knowledge cards) and guidance appear right on the page you're working on.
• Gives you AI Sidekick — an AI assistant that answers questions and recommends content based on what you're doing (covered in "Using AI Sidekick Chat").
• Surfaces Gong call insights — recaps, key points, and next steps, right inside Gmail or Salesforce.
• Lets you create and manage Deal Rooms — personalized, trackable spaces to share content with buyers.
• Tracks shared links — see who's viewing what, whenever you share something externally.
• Delivers Learning Paths and Knowledge Checks — training that happens in your workflow instead of a separate LMS tab.
• Notifies you of updates — Spotlights, process changes, and content updates land as timely alerts.

2. How to Install the Extension

The extension works on any Chromium-based browser — Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and similar.

1. Go to the Spekit Chrome Extension page on the Chrome Web Store.
2. Click Add to Chrome. Your browser will refresh briefly as it adds and authenticates your account.
3. A pop-up confirms the addition — click Add Extension.
4. The Spekit sidebar automatically appears, expanded, on your current window. You're in.

If you don't see the extension on a particular site: try refreshing the browser first. Some web apps also need to be explicitly enabled by your Admin before Spekit will appear there — if a refresh doesn't fix it, that's the next thing to check.

3. How to Pin the Extension

Pinning keeps the Spekit icon visible in your browser toolbar, so you never have to dig through your extensions list to open it.

1. Click the puzzle piece icon in the top-right of your browser.
2. Find Spekit in the list and click the pin icon next to it.
3. The Spekit icon now stays visible in your toolbar — one click, anytime.

4. How to Log In to Spekit

Depending on your organization's setup, there are three ways to log in to your Spekit account: Single Sign-On (SSO), Salesforce, or a standard Spekit Account and Password.

Note: The login flow is exactly the same whether you are logging in from the Spekit Web App or the Spekit Chrome Extension.

🔐 Log in via SSO

1. Click the Spekit icon in your browser toolbar to open the Chrome Extension.
2. Click Login to Spekit. You will be routed to the login page.
3. Enter your Username and you will be redirected to authenticate with your IdP. You can also click View all login options to log in with SSO.
4. Enter your SSO credentials.
5. You will be routed to the Home page in the Spekit Web App and logged in with the extension.

☁️ Log in via Salesforce

1. Click the Spekit icon in your browser toolbar to open the Chrome Extension.
2. Click Login to Spekit. You will be routed to the login page.
3. Enter your Username and you will be redirected to authenticate with Salesforce. You can also click View all login options to log in with Salesforce.
4. Enter your Salesforce credentials.
5. You will be routed to the Home page in the Spekit Web App and logged in with the extension.

🔑 Log in via Spekit Account/Username

1. Click the Spekit icon in your browser toolbar to open the Chrome Extension.
2. Click Login to Spekit. You will be routed to the login page.
3. Enter your Spekit username and password.
4. Click the blue Login button.
5. Enter the 6-digit security code sent to the email associated with your Spekit account.
6. You will be routed to the Home page in the Spekit Web App and logged in with the extension.
