Install the Spekit Chrome Extension in Mircosoft Edge

This guide walks you through enabling extensions from other stores, installing the Spekit extension on Microsoft Edge, and configuring third-party cookies to ensure everything works correctly.

Note: Since Microsoft Edge is built on Chromium, you can install and use the Spekit extension directly from the Chrome Web Store. However, you must first enable extensions from other stores in Edge before you can install it.

1. How to Allow Extensions from Other Stores in Microsoft Edge

Before installing the Spekit extension from the Chrome Web Store, you need to allow Microsoft Edge to install extensions from other stores. Follow these steps:

1. Open Microsoft Edge.
2. Click the ellipsis (…) in the top-right corner of the browser.
3. Click Extensions from the dropdown menu.
4. Click Manage Extensions.
5. In the bottom-left corner of the Extensions page, locate the toggle for Allow extensions from other stores.
6. Toggle it on. A confirmation dialog may appear. Click Allow to confirm.

Note: Once this toggle is enabled (shown in green), you will be able to install extensions from the Chrome Web Store directly in Microsoft Edge.

2. How to Install the Spekit Extension on Microsoft Edge

1. Go to the Spekit listing on the Chrome Web Store.
2. Click the blue Add to Chrome button.
3. A pop-up will appear. Click Add Extension to confirm the installation.
4. Once installed, click the Spekit icon in the top-right corner of your Edge browser to open the Spekit sidebar and log in.

Tip: If the Spekit icon is not visible in your toolbar after installation, click the Extensions (puzzle piece) icon in Edge and pin Spekit to your toolbar for quick access.

3. How to Allow Third-Party Cookies in Microsoft Edge

Make sure Microsoft Edge Chromium is open, then follow these steps:

1. Click the ellipsis (…) in the top-right corner of Edge.
2. Select Settings.
3. Go to Privacy, search, and services.
4. Under the Cookies section, select Cookies.
5. Find Allowed to save cookies.
6. Click Add site.
7. Enter one of the following three entries exactly as shown, then click Add. Repeat this step for all three entries, one at a time:
   • [*.]app.spekit.co
   • [*.]spekit.co
   • chrome-extension://nbphjjmibhopfgkkbpoggemjnihnchhk/

Important: All three entries must be added for Spekit to function correctly in Microsoft Edge. Enter each one exactly as shown above, including the [*.] prefix where applicable.

Once all three entries are added, the Sites that can always use cookies section should display all three Spekit entries listed together.
