[Admin Guide] Connect Spekit MCP to Gong

Connect Gong to Spekit's MCP server so Ask Gong can use your Spekit content alongside your call data. This setup runs in the reverse direction from the other tools. Here Gong connects out to Spekit as an external data source.

ℹ️ A Gong Tech admin sets this up. After that, each user authorizes their own Spekit sign-in the first time they use it.

1. What you can do in Gong

Once the connection is live, Ask Gong can reach the same Spekit content each user can reach in the web app.

In Gong you canWhy it helps
Ask a question and get your approved Spekit answerReps get the governed answer in the tool where they review calls.
Pull a full Spek, with its TopicsCall follow-up can quote source content, not a rep's memory.
Search across the Speks a user can accessEach user sees only what their Spekit role allows.

💡 Pro Tip: This pairs well with call review. A rep can check what was said on a call, then pull the approved messaging for the follow-up in the same place.

2. Who can use this

You need a Gong Tech admin role to create the connection. This is available on any Gong plan. Each user needs an active Spekit account to authorize.

3. Create the MCP connection

  1. In Gong, go to Admin center.
  2. Go to Settings, then MCP connections, under Ecosystem.
  3. Select New connection.
  4. Enter the connection details:
FieldValue
Connection nameSpekit
MCP server URLhttps://mcp.spekit.co/mcp
Authentication requirementEnabled

📌 Skip the Client access fields. Gong's setup screen offers an optional Client ID and Client secret section. Spekit's server does not need it. Leave it collapsed and use Personal access instead.

4. Choose Personal access

Gong offers two access types:

Access typeWhat it doesUse it?
Shared accessOne token for all users.No. It would collapse every Gong user into one Spekit identity.
Personal accessEach user authorizes separately.Yes. Spekit permissions are scoped to each user's role.

5. Connect and sign in

Select Connect, then complete the Spekit sign-in when prompted. Each user authorizes individually the first time they use the connection.
