Templates give your team an approved, on-brand starting point for every Deal Room. As an Account Admin or Team Admin, you control which templates are published to the Deal Room gallery, so reps always start from vetted content instead of a blank page.
Prerequisite: Creating and publishing team templates is restricted to Experts, Account Admins and Team Admins.
There are two ways to set one up: convert a Spek you already have, or build one from scratch.
Convert a Spek into a template
Whether you are building a template from scratch or if you already have content that works well, turn it into a reusable template directly from the editor.
- Open the Spek you want to convert
- Click Edit
- Scroll to the Type field and change it from Content to Template
- Add Template instructions describing what the template is for and how it should be used
- Toggle Allow external sharing on to make it available in the Deal Room template gallery
- Save your changes
Writing good template instructions
Template instructions do two jobs: they tell the AI how to fill in the template, and they tell reps when to use it. Be specific about the use case and the audience.
Weak: "Use this for business proposals." Strong: "Use this template to generate a business case proposal for late-stage enterprise deals. Helps reps frame business impact and align stakeholders before a final review."
Making it available for Deal Rooms
Toggling Allow external sharing on is what surfaces the template in the Deal Room tab of the template picker and makes it shareable outside your org. Leave it off if the template should stay internal-only.
Once published, your template shows up under the Team filter in the Deal Room tab, tagged as a Team Template, ready for any rep to use.
