An Account Admin connects your Confluence workspace to Spekit so your team can sync page titles and find documentation in the flow of work. Confluence must be connected before anyone can sync pages. This guide covers how to connect and how to disconnect.
ℹ️ Who this is for: Account Admins setting up the Confluence connection for the company. Confluence syncs into Team Hub Topics only, not Deal Rooms. To sync pages once the connection exists, see Sync Confluence Content into Team Hub.
1. Before you connect
You need Confluence Cloud and an active Atlassian subscription (Standard, Premium, or Enterprise). You connect using your Atlassian Site URL (for example, https://your-domain.atlassian.net) and your login credentials.
Remember that only page titles sync, not page bodies. See the Confluence Overview for what that means for your team.
2. How to connect Confluence
There are two ways to reach the connection. Both use your Atlassian Site URL and your login.
Option 1: From Settings
- Open the Spekit Hub (Web App).
- Click Settings (the gear icon), then Connect.
- Click Connect Confluence.
- Click Connect Confluence, enter your Atlassian Site URL (for example,
https://your-domain.atlassian.net), then click Connect. - On the Atlassian Authorize app screen, review the access Spekit requests, then click Accept.
Option 2: From + Add New
- Open the Spekit Hub (Web App).
- Click the Team Hub button, then + Add New.
- Select File Sync.
- Click Connect Confluence, enter your Atlassian Site URL (for example,
https://your-domain.atlassian.net), then click Connect. - On the Atlassian Authorize app screen, review the access Spekit requests, then click Accept.
Once connected, you can select pages or spaces to sync. See Sync Confluence Content into Team Hub.
ℹ️ What Spekit can access: On the authorization screen, Spekit requests permission to view pages and search in Confluence. Spekit reads page titles only. Access is limited to the Atlassian sites where you have access and the app is installed.
3. How to disconnect
Disconnecting stops future syncing. Content already imported stays in Spekit.
From Settings
- Open the Spekit Hub (Web App).
- Click Settings, then Connect.
- Find the Confluence card and click Disconnect.
From + Add New
- Open the Spekit Hub (Web App).
- Click Team Hub, then + Add New, then File Sync.
- Click Disconnect.
- In the confirmation pop-up, click Yes, disconnect.
