AI Sidekick FAQs

  1. Why Is AI Sidekick in Beta?
    • AI Sidekick is currently in beta as we continue to learn from real-world usage and refine the experience. This allows us to improve accuracy, relevance, and performance before broader feature expansion.
  2. Can I save or favorite conversation history in Spekit AI Sidekick?
    • At this time, Spekit AI Sidekick does not save your conversation history once the chat window is closed. However, as long as the tab and chat window remain open, the conversation will persist.
    • Pro Tip: To save information, open the sources provided by Sidekick and Favorite (Star) them in your sidebar for permanent access!
  3. How do I refresh Spekit AI Sidekick features if they aren't appearing?
    • If features aren't appearing as expected:
    • Refresh your browser page.
    • Close and reopen the Spekit sidebar.
    • Confirm your Chrome Extension is updated to version 2025.02.26 or later.
  4. Is Spekit AI Sidekick restricted to providing responses based on user access?
    • Yes, Spekit AI Sidekick only generates responses based on the content the user has permission to access. This ensures that sensitive or restricted content remains secure and unavailable to unauthorized users.
  5. Does Spekit AI Sidekick retain context between questions?
    • Currently, Spekit AI Sidekick operates on a "one question → one answer" basis. It does not retain conversational context or history between questions and answers.
  6. What data does a "recommended question" in Spekit AI Sidekick use?
    • Recommended questions are generated using:
    • Your original question
    • The answer summary
    • Titles of the sources used
  7. Where do I find Recommendations?

    • They appear inside the Spekit Sidekick sidebar as expandable cards, grouped under headings like "Share content externally," "Review internal guidance," or "Share content based on recent call" (when viewing a deal or call).

  8. Which apps and tools are supported?

    • Recommendations currently work in Gmail, Outlook (browser), Salesforce Opportunity records, Gong, Chorus, SalesLoft, Outreach Kaia, and Clari Copilot.

  9. How does Spekit know what to recommend?

    • Sidekick reads the visible content on your current page (an email, a call transcript, a deal record) and uses AI to identify the key topics, then matches those topics against your organization's content library to find the best-fit Speks.

  10. Why am I seeing these specific recommendations?

    • Several factors influence what's shown, including the domain/app you're in, the page content itself, and recent changes to your content library. These signals help predict what's most useful for your current context.

  11. What's the difference between "internal guidance" and "share externally" recommendations?

    • Internal guidance surfaces battlecards, playbooks, and templates meant for your own reference. External recommendations surface customer-facing collateral — case studies, datasheets, decks — that's appropriate to send to a prospect or customer.

  12. Can I act on a recommendation directly?

    • Yes — from a recommendation card you can preview, favorite, download, personalize, or share content (as an internal link, a trackable external link, or added to a Deal Room), without leaving your workflow.

  13. What if no recommendations appear?

    • If Spekit can't find a strong match for the current page, it won't force irrelevant suggestions — you'll see a message that no recommendations are available right now. This can also happen if the page has little text content to analyze, or if relevant content hasn't been added to your library yet.

  14. What if I see an error instead of recommendations?

    • An error message means Recommendations is temporarily unable to reach its service provider. This is usually transient — refreshing or checking back shortly typically resolves it. If the issue persists, please contact our Support team.

  15. Does REX replace searching for content manually?

    • Not entirely — Recommendations is meant to reduce how often you need to search by proactively surfacing likely matches, but you can always search your content library directly if you're looking for something specific.
