Keep your Salesforce connection healthy so engagement data stays accurate over time. This guide covers checking connection status, updating field mappings, how syncing works, and disconnecting.
ℹ️ Who this is for: Account Admins and Salesforce Admins who manage the Revenue Insights connection. See Setting up Salesforce for Revenue Insights to connect it the first time.
1. Checking your connection
Your Revenue Insights connection lives in Settings, then Connect, on the CRM Revenue Insights for Shared Content card. When it is working, the card shows a Connected status. The card also has the Field mapping, Sync Salesforce data, and Disconnect buttons you will use to manage it. If engagement has stopped resolving to opportunities, this card is the first place to check.
💡 Pro tip: If the connection was made with an individual's account and that person has left or changed roles, the connection may have broken. Reconnect using a dedicated Integration User so it does not happen again.
2. Updating field mappings
To adjust mappings after setup:
- Open the Spekit Hub (Web App), go to Settings, then Connect.
- On the CRM Revenue Insights for Shared Content card, click Field mapping.
- The Salesforce Field Mapping window opens, listing four objects: Users, Opportunities, Contacts, and Accounts. Spekit fields are on the left, Salesforce fields on the right.
- Click Make selections next to an object to open its field mapping. Map each Spekit field to the correct Salesforce field. You can use Refresh to pull the latest Salesforce fields, Reset to revert, and Map values where a field needs value-level mapping.
- To apply your changes, close the window and click Sync Salesforce data on the Connect page.
Keep the core fields mapped for Account, Opportunity, and User, or the sync will not resolve engagement correctly.
💡 Pro tip: After any significant Salesforce change to Opportunity or Account fields, open Field mapping and review it, then run Sync Salesforce data. A renamed or replaced field that is no longer mapped can quietly leave gaps in your dashboards.
3. Syncing
After the initial sync during setup, Revenue Insights updates automatically about every 10 minutes, so day-to-day changes flow in on their own. To force an update now, for example right after changing field mappings, click Sync Salesforce data on the CRM Revenue Insights card on the Connect page. If data looks out of date well beyond the automatic window, check the connection status first, then your field mappings.
4. Disconnecting
Disconnecting stops future syncing.
- Open the Spekit Hub (Web App), go to Settings, then Connect.
- On the CRM Revenue Insights for Shared Content card, click Disconnect.
- Confirm when prompted.
