2. Key Components & Terminology

These terms describe the core components, content units, and tools you interact with daily in your flow of work.

TermDefinition and Importance
AI SidekickThe most contextual Just-in-Time Sales Assistant™. Accessed via the Spekit Chrome Extension, Sidekick leverages signals from CRM and communication tools to deliver personalized guidance, content, and recommendations right in your workflow.
Web App (Central Hub)The central platform for managing and accessing all organizational knowledge and analytics. It provides access to the Home Page, Team Hub, and My Hub.
HubThe organization's central shared library and repository for all content, including Topics, Speks, Files, Spotlights, and Knowledge Checks.
My HubThe user's personalized workspace where they manage key personal features, including Favorites (starred content), Trackable Links, and Deal Rooms.
SpekKnowledge, content, or guidance created in Spekit that enables team members to do their best work. Speks surface just-in-time through embedded guidance, AI recommendations, and AI Sidekick responses, and can belong to multiple Topics.
FilesDocuments (PDFs, PPTXs, DOCXs, XLSXs) uploaded or synced into Spekit. Viewers can download a copy of a file.
TopicA structured way to organize and group related Speks and Files, functioning like a folder. Topics are used to control content visibility via Team permissions.
Content SyncThe ability to automatically import and refresh selected files from external sources (e.g., Google Drive, SharePoint). Note: For Confluence, only page titles are imported.
Deal RoomsCustom, trackable content hubs that enable reps to centralize and share content with buyers, while getting real-time alerts on buyer activity. Managed in My Hub.
Trackable LinksThe ability to share a single file or Spek externally and gain instant insight into buyer engagement.
SpotlightEye-catching, in-app alerts used to broadcast critical, time-sensitive updates, process changes, or announcements.
Knowledge CheckQuick, engaging quizzes used to measure and reinforce learning, scored on a pass/fail basis.
Reactions/FeedbackGive quick, structured feedback right from the content. If it's helpful, tap 👍. If not, tap 👎 to flag what's wrong and add a note. You can also use Share Feedback for any general thoughts or suggestions.
Custom FieldsAdditional metadata added to content to improve organization and search filtering. Internal Viewers can see Custom Field values.
