1. What are AI Content Recommendations (REX)?
AI Content Recommendations, also known as REX, is a proactive feature within Spekit AI Sidekick designed to surface relevant content, training, and resources to your team exactly when they need them, without requiring them to search.
How It Works
- Proactive Discovery: REX analyzes context signals from your daily workflow—such as the email you are drafting, the Salesforce opportunity you are viewing, or the call summary you are reading—to identify the most relevant enablement materials.
- Unconscious Discovery: Because it's dynamic and tailored to each user's unique needs, it surfaces content reps might not even know exists, helping them prepare for meetings or follow up on deals more effectively.
- Workflow Integration: It works seamlessly across your revenue toolchain, including Gmail, Outlook, Salesforce, Gong, Chorus, Salesloft, and Outreach Kaia, appearing directly in the Spekit sidebar—and in the Outlook add-in.
2. How Recommendations Are Generated
Recommendations are ranked by how closely they match the content on the page you're viewing — the stronger the match, the higher it sits in the Chrome Extension.
What affects the ranking:
- Contextual relevance to the page
- Keyword proximity and usage
- Singular/plural word variations
- Minor typos and spelling variations
What improves accuracy over time: the quality of recommendations depends directly on how much content you have and how well it's structured.
- Rich content — upload case studies, battlecards, and product collateral so there's more for the AI to match against.
- Metadata — use Custom Fields to add structured signals that help the AI match content more precisely.
3. Where will I see recommendations?
Recommendations appear as expandable cards in the Sidekick sidebar, grouped under headings like "Share content externally," "Review internal guidance," or "Share content based on recent call." You'll only ever see recommendations for content you already have permission to view.
4. Anything else I should know?
- AI Content Recommendations is currently in Beta — you can give feedback on individual recommendations by hovering and clicking yes/no.
- If there's no strong match for your current page, you won't see a recommendation forced on you — it's better to see nothing than an irrelevant suggestion.
- Appearance and availability may differ based on your organization's configuration.
