Click to create a new Spotlight in one of two ways
The first option is from the Spekit Chrome extension
1 ) Click the Spekit icon to open the Spekit Chrome extension sidebar
2 ) Click Create

3 ) Click Spotlight

- You will be taken to the Create a Spotlight screen
- Under the Content heading
4 ) Add a Headline for the Spotlight
5 ) Add a Message for the Spotlight
6 ) Add a new thumbnail image to replace the default image we provide Spotlights Thumbnail Image - Width x Height
7 ) You can opt to add video embed code Spekit Supports iframe embed code for these video services
- Under the Audience heading
8 ) Set the Spekit Teams who will view the Spotlight
- Spekit Teams available in the drop-down will depend on the Spekit Teams that have been created for your Spekit instance
- For this example, I am only showing the two default Spekit Teams (All Spekit Users and Spekit Account Admins)

- Under the Action heading
- Here you can opt to edit the clickable button on the Spotlight
Click the drop-down to see all of the available options **Keep in mind if you are going to use Spek or Topic, please be sure the Spekit Teams you add to Audience have access to the content**
- You can also opt to edit the text for the button label

- Below is an example of a Spotlight with the aforementioned items added
- The Headline added is the name of the Spotlight that is seen in the Preview
Under the Publish & Share heading
- For my example Spotlight, I am targeting the Salesforce Opportunity list views for the Spotlight to
appear on
I took the URL from Salesforce and divided it as shown below
Appears When--URL contains https://spekit60-dev-ed.lightning.force.com (Be sure not to include the forward slash in this field)
or Path contains /lightning/o/Opportunity/list
- The configuration allows the Spotlight to appear on any Opportunity list view being used in Salesforce
When you're making the necessary edits, scroll to the top of the Spotlight creation screen
Click the purple Publish button
- On the bottom left of the screen you will receive a confirmation message that says:
- Your Spotlight is published and should be live for all users within 10 minutes.
- The Spotlight you created will now show the Published status
Click the x to close the Edit a Spotlight screen The Spotlight I created appeared on the Salesforce
Opportunity list view I clicked the blue View Spek button
The Spek I created to go with the Spotlight opens in the Spekit Chrome extension sidebar
1 ) Click Spotlights
2 ) Click the purple Create button
3 ) Click Spotlight to continue
- You will be taken to the Create a Spotlight screen in the Spekit Web App
- The Create a Spotlight exactly the same as creating using the Spekit Chrome extension
