-
The Spekit Dock and the Spekit Chrome extension side panel are not available when a Flows recording starts
-
To access the Spekit Dock and the Spekit Chrome extension side panel, you must first finish your current Flow recording
Capture Controls
-
This is essentially the remote controller during recording
-
At any point in time, you can pause, stop, hide the utility bar, save, or discard a Flow
💡 Tip: If the capture control is obstructing the recording, click the hide tab to collapse the entire utility bar
While recording
-
The Interactive Step serves as a real time validation engine which scans the effectiveness of elements on the page
-
While recording, as you hover over web elements, the Interactive Step either tells you if the element is good to capture or find another
- The white check green circle indicates the element you are hovering on will be captured properly
- The white check red circle indicates the element you are hovering on might not be captured properly so you need to consider hovering on a different element of opting to use the Info step
Feedback Loop
-
The feedback loop is visible immediately after each step is recorded
-
It’s purpose is to confirm that the step recorded is successfully added to the current flow creation
-
Once the feedback loop appears, you can either click OK, continue to capture the next step or wait 3 seconds before it disappears
💡 Tip: for drop downs and pick lists, if you click on OK, continue, it can potentially force close the picklist that you need to record for your next step. For this scenario, we recommend instead to wait for the 3 second timer to elapse before you record your next step
Hide and Show Utility Bar
The utility bar serves as the remote controller and provides information while recording but there are cases where it can obstruct the view of an element on the page
If this occurs, simply hide the utility bar from the capture controls
Note: if you choose to hide the utility bar while recording while recording, the utility bar will appear again if there is fresh page load.
