Launcher Step
-
Launcher steps consist of Image or video, Headline, and Message
-
It is the first step a viewer sees before the Flow
-
By default, this is added once the recording is completed
-
The content within the launcher step can be modified within the publish screen (after Preview and edit)
Interactive Step
This step is used when you need your users to click through a page and advance to the next steps
In order to capture an interactive step, simply click on the element on the page and flows will automatically record the step
💡 Once the interactive step is captured, allow 3 seconds for the step to save before recording the next step or when the hover appears again on your mouse cursor
Info Step
This step is used as a tour on a page
Example: you want to make a How to Navigate Salesforce Lightning page and explain different components within the Sales homepage
To create an info step during recording, hover over an element and wait for the hover to appear then move your cursor to the info step check box
💡 An info step is great to call out multiple form inputs in one step
💡 Unlike the interactive step where the hover times-out in 3 seconds, info steps requires you to click OK, continue to proceed to the next recording
Click the box next to Info step
Type in the box the necessary procedure(s) for the Info step
Floating Step
A floating step is automatically created by our algorithm in cases where either the interactive or info step cannot find an element on the page
Instead of the flow failing, a floating step takes over and floats on the page
This can happen for many different reasons such as the user interface changes or slow page loads
For example, if a page loads slower than the flow step, then a floating step displays as an alternative
💡 Floating steps cannot be created or configured. If the step fails, the content within that step is transferred to the floating step
💡 If the original step was an interactive step and the step fails, it is converted into a floating step with a next button
Finisher Step
Similar to the launcher step, a finisher step is automatically added post-recording.
It is the last step a viewer sees once a Flow is complete
The content within the finisher step can be modified within the publish screen (after Preview and edit)
