How to Access Spekit AI Assist
There are three ways you can engage with Spekit AI Assist:
Option 1: Using the Spekit Chrome Extension
1.) Open the Spekit Chrome Extension.
2.) Click on the Spekit AI icon.
3.) Type your question into the input field within the sidebar, such as: "What are the key benefits of Spekit for sales enablement?"
4.) Review the answer provided by Spekit AI Assist, along with its relevant sources.
5.) Explore further by clicking out of Spekit to view source materials, ask follow-up questions, or select a recommended question like: "How does Spekit compare to other enablement platforms?"
Option 2: Using the Spekit Chrome Extension Search Bar
1.) Open the Spekit Chrome Extension.
2.) Type your question directly into the Spekit Chrome Extension Search Bar.
3.) Above the recently viewed items list, select the option to search for your question using Spekit AI Assist.
4.) Review the answer provided by Spekit AI Assist, along with its relevant sources.
5.) Explore further by clicking out of Spekit to view source materials, ask follow-up questions, or select a recommended question.
Option 3: Using Keyboard Shortcut
You can use the following shortcuts to open or close Spekit AI Assist in the modal:

These shortcuts allow you to access Spekit AI Assist without interrupting your workflow, enabling you to get instant answers and return to your tasks seamlessly.
Can I save or favorite conversation history in Spekit AI Assist?
At this time, Spekit AI Assist does not save your conversation history once the chat window is closed. However, as long as the tab and chat window remain open, the conversation will persist.

How do I refresh Spekit AI Assist features if they aren’t appearing?
If features aren’t appearing as expected:
1.) Refresh your browser page.
2.) Close and reopen the Spekit sidebar.
3.) Confirm your Chrome extension is updated to at least version 2024.42.2.
If issues persist, contact your Spekit support team for assistance.
Is Spekit AI Assist restricted to providing responses based on user access?
Yes, Spekit AI Assist only generates responses based on the content the user has permission to access. This ensures that sensitive or restricted content remains secure and unavailable to unauthorized users.
Does Spekit AI Assist retain context between questions?
Currently, Spekit AI Assist operates on a "one question → one answer" basis. It does not retain conversational context or history between questions and answers.
What data does a “recommended question” in Spekit AI Assist use?
Recommended questions are generated based on the previous interaction's data, which include:
- The original question
- The answer summary
- The title of each source provided
This ensures that recommended questions remain relevant to your immediate query.
